Mark your calendars and start gearing up for the Spring Garage Sale, sponsored by the Davis Lake Dolphin’s Swim Team. It will be Saturday, May 5th from 8am-2pm. It is a rain or shine event. The cost to participate in the sale is $25. You have the sale in your own garage/driveway. If you don’t have enough “stuff”, team up with a friend or neighbor and you can split the $25 fee.
Why does it cost $25 to participate? You need a permit to hold a garage sale. Not only do we send the information to the county, we pick up your permit and deliver it to you. We do other legwork as well, like advertising in local newspapers and posting signs throughout the community. We also compile a list of all the homes participating and the items they are selling. This list is printed, along with a neighborhood map and passed out at the
clubhouse entrance the morning of the sale. We also post the list on our website.
The Spring and Fall Davis Lake Garage sales are well-known throughout the
community. We get a lot of shoppers during these much anticipated events. So if you need to de-clutter, start planning to participate in this event. It is also one of the main fundraisers for our Swim Team. The participation form is in the April issue of the
Communiqué (page 5) or can be obtained on the Davis Lake website.
The website link to the form is: http://www.davislake.org/garagesale-spring12.pdf
This form is due no later than Monday April 30th. Contact information is on the form.
Please contact Wendy if you have any questions regarding the garage sale.

is Coming Back!
The 25 Mile Club is a season long swimming competition
amongst residents. You have from pool opening day May 19th until the last day
of the season September 9th to complete 25 miles in laps. Research shows it takes 71 laps to equal 1 mile in our Davis Lake pool. There are prizes for
winners who place in the top ten and first place too of course!! There will be
a notebook located at the Pool Check-in Desk where each resident participating
will track their own number of laps. Spread the word!!
