Neighborhood Clubs in Davis Lake

Davis Lake has a lot of neighborhood clubs that are available to the residents. Some of the neighborhood clubs are listed below,  You may want to ask your fellow residents about other informal clubs in your neighborhood - such as bunco groups, bridge clubs, dinner clubs, teen club etc. Group leaders should contact webmaster@davislake.org to keep your information on this page updated.

25 Mile Club: Seasonal
The 25 Mile Club is a season long swimming competition amongst residents. You have from pool opening day, until the last day of the season to complete 25 miles in laps. There are prizes for winners who place in the top ten and first place too of course!! There is a notebook located at the Pool Check-in Desk where each resident
participating will track their own number of laps. *Reminder: a lap is 2 lengths of the lap lanes,
meaning you must swim down the lanes and back to complete one full lap.

Babysitting Co-ops (Group leaders, please contact the webmaster to keep info updated)
Need a baby sitter during the day when all the teenagers are in school?
Do you want to go out on a Friday night, but don't want to pay $40 for a sitter? Do you prefer to have an experienced adult care for your infant while you are out? Do you want to meet other Moms in the neighborhood or find other children the same age as yours? We have your answer! Earn babysitting hours by doing babysitting, no money involved. Call co-ops below for a membership packet today!

    • Babysitting Co-op – Openings available! The purpose of our co-op is to enable parents to go out without concern over your child’s welfare because another parent within the neighborhood is caring for them. In addition, you do not encounter financial restriction, because we exchange hours instead of money. It is also a great way to meet other Moms and children within our wonderful neighborhood. For more information, please contact Jodie Whittington (704-598-8109, jwhitti8@carolina.rr.com).

It's a relaxed evening of conversation, sharing appetizers and, for those inclined, board games and cards. This year we would like to add outings during the year such as: dining out, sport games i.e., baseball, basketball and theater/shows. We are always open for suggestions/new ideas.
